No Trump! No Troops Protest!
Please join us on Saturday, September 6, at 5pm at Ida B Wells and Michigan for a protest to say we reject the attacks against our communities! NO TRUMP, NO TROOPS!
Over the last few months, we’ve seen an increase in immigration enforcement activity across the country, all backed by the Trump administration in an effort to advance an authoritarian agenda. While we prepare to face Trump’s aggression and protect our communities through the deployment of rapid response teams and know your rights public education, we have ALREADY seen further escalation in our region this week. These escalations are forms of psychological trauma and one of the many attacks on Chicago and Illinois that come out of the Trump White House every single day. Taken together, these tactics are tantamount to an escalation that deserves a response.
This moment is also bringing together a cross-section of communities pushing back against Trump’s anti-immigrant, anti-working class agenda. That’s why we and other movement partners will be mobilizing our communities to reject the militarization of our streets, city, and state! Join us on Saturday, September 6th, at 5pm at Ida B Wells and Michigan for a protest to say we reject the attacks against our communities! NO TRUMP, NO TROOPS!
Remember — the first line of defense is knowing your rights. You can visit ICIRR’s website at icirr.org/fsn to download and print Know Your Rights cards and one-pagers for you and your loved ones. It is important that every person, regardless of their immigration status, knows the rights they have when encountering ICE.
If you suspect ICE activity in your neighborhood, or if a loved one has been taken by ICE, you can call our Family Support Network Hotline at 855-435-7693. Our hotline is live 7 days a week from 6am to 9pm in English and Spanish. Operators speaking Arabic, Chinese, Dari, Korean, Pashto, Polish, Russian, and Ukrainian are available M-F from 9am to 5pm. Calls outside of these hours should expect a call back within 48 hours.
