Stand Up Against Healthcare Cuts

Chicago Women Take Action is joining the Seven Days in June: HEALTH IS PRIMARY.  This is a nationwide week of action, calling attention to the dire impact of the over $1 trillion in healthcare cuts. Health care has become  inadequate and too expensive for many Americans, and access to care is becoming more difficult.

We are supporting a June 5 vigil at the AIDS Garden Chicago alongside labor, LGBTQ+, faith, and healthcare organizations from across the city. The event is part of a broader effort to highlight the devastating impact these cuts will have on hospitals, clinics, HIV services, and public health.

Join CWTA for a CANDLELIGHT VIGIL at the AIDS Garden Chicago from 7:30pm to sunset to honor all those already lost to illness, inequity, and inadequate care — and to stand in solidarity with the millions more whose lives depend on restored funding. In the event of rain, the vigil will move to the Center on Halsted.

Join us on June 5 at 7:30 PM at the AIDS Garden Chicago (Belmont & the Lakefront).
