CWTA Education Committee Meeting - May 22nd! Please Join Us!

The CWTA Education Committee will be on May 22. We will:

  • Examine and reframe the discussion and lawsuit underlying premise on DEI in CPS. This will focusing on the work, rationale , data research of the Committee working on the Black Student Success Plan . We will review a letter by Valarie (last name) supporting the Plan showing the data that showing a) the untenable disparities in a black students in underserved Neighborhood and b) the normalcy of creating special plans, resources for other student groups with special needs including Latinex , students with disabilities and others . 

  • Discuss the impact of DEI on CPS /public k-12 and  higher education programs and the public interest; including the legal and historical basis supporting the outcomes and the solutions being worked on that will support equity outcomes
