A Year-End Request
Help Us Continue Our Work
November 2025
Dear Friends of Chicago Women Take Action,
This has been a year of unprecedented challenges for women, our families and communities as we confront attacks on our democracy. We are so proud of Illinois’ and Chicago’s leadership in organizing and protesting, in welcoming those seeking reproductive care, and in mobilizing to protect our immigrant neighbors and our fundamental civil rights. CWTA and CWTA ACTs contributed to these efforts in a variety of ways, always bringing our perspective of addressing the pervasive economic, racial and gender inequities that define every aspect of women’s lives.
Here is some of what we have done this year:
Exchanged information and resources via our monthly meetings. CWTA meetings provide a space where women can learn about issues and develop strategies and tactics. Some issues we have discussed include: Voting Rights; The Status of Vaccines; Know Your Rights in Immigration Issues; The Current State of Our Constitutional Rights; Police Accountability; Education, and more.
We have updated our Women’s Agenda creating a strong platform for our continuing work.
Acting together with other organizations, we have addressed critical issues. We have worked in the Public Health and Safety Campaign (https://publichealthsafetychicago.org/), participated with a Healthcare Working group and Protect Our Care IL, joined with education groups to strengthen public education, worked on fair courts and judicial issues and joined with other groups on immigrant and refugee rights.
We have partnered in large mobilizations including: Good Trouble Lives On; No Kings I and II; May Day and Labor Day actions and emergency responses to oppose ICE raids and federal troops in Chicago.
We need your help to do this work! Your end-of-year donation in any amount will help us continue to move forward and ensure that CWTA remains a special place for all women in Chicago.
