2026 Chicago Women's History Conference

The Chicago Women's History Center is honored to host the second annual conference on Chicago Women’s History at Roosevelt University on Saturday, March 21, 2026. The theme for this year is Women’s Health Justice: Recovering the Past to Shape our Future and the conference has been created from an open call with our community and designed collectively with our community partners.

The Keynote Presentation for this year is by Rashayla Marie Brown with twelve panels, presentations, and workshops by experts in our community whose research is focused on Women’s Health Justice. The three strands of programming include: Recovering Women’s Health History; NewParadigms in Women’s Health; Past Resources for Future Building; and three workshops called Embodied Practices.

We will also have author tables, exhibitions by Chicago Metro Fair, Breakfast and lunch will be provided along with tea and coffee served all day in the library. Registration includes a year of annual membership to CWHC that includes free author and membership events throughout the year.
