ICE Out of Chicago Fair Elections
Does your Alder REJECT ICE MONEY?
The Trump Administration’s extreme immigration enforcement campaign has terrorized cities across the US and undermined the rule of law. It has torn apart families, hurt small businesses, lowered school attendance, and eroded trust in law enforcement. In Chicago, Marimar Martinez was shot and Silverio Villegas González was killed in federal immigration actions. In Minneapolis, Renee Good and Alex Pretti lost their lives in incidents involving federal agents.
This immigration enforcement campaign is only possible with the assistance of private industry. Private companies profit by providing agents with housing, cars, technology, and more. Some of those same companies want to curry favor in Chicago’s elections and win more government contracts that use our tax dollars.
In Chicago, we call upon our elected officials to reject corporate influence in our elections, especially from companies that enable brutal immigration enforcement tactics. We’re asking Chicago elected officials and candidates to reject contributions from 12 corporations and their PACs, plus their executives, with ties to ICE and Border Patrol.
