Ready to bring real reform and accountability to Chicago’s police districts? 🏙️✊

CWTA Acts C4 is gearing up to prepare candidates and support community-led election campaigns for the upcoming Police District Council elections. If you or someone you know wants to represent your neighborhood, the time to act is now!

Here is our roadmap to the finish line:

☀️Summer 2026: We are actively encouraging reform-minded candidates to step up and register to run.
📝 November 2026: Candidate petitions are due! You will need to gather between 300 and 700 signatures to get on the ballot.
🍂 Fall 2026 – Winter 2027: Education mode is activated. We will be teaching the community about the candidates and actively supporting leaders who push for reform.
🗳️ February 23, 2027: Election Day!

🎓 In partnership with the Grassroots Alliance for Police Accountability (GAPA) Coalition, we are hosting specialized teach-ins to get you up to speed.

🗓️ When: Every 2nd Thursday and 2nd Saturday throughout July, August, and September.
